Privacy Policy
How YouKip handles data — and why most of it never leaves your device.
This Privacy Policy explains how YouKip (“we”, “us”, “our”), operated from Morocco, handles information when you use our website and tools at youkip.com. We aim to comply with applicable data-protection laws, including the EU/UK GDPR and the CCPA. By using the site, you agree to this policy.
🔒 The short version
Our tools run entirely in your browser. Anything you type, paste, or upload into a tool is processed on your device and is never sent to or stored on our servers — we cannot see it. The only data involved is standard, mostly anonymous analytics and advertising data described below, governed by the consent choice you make in the cookie banner.
1. Information processed in your browser (not collected by us)
The text, files, and values you enter into YouKip tools — passwords, JSON, code, planner entries, and so on — are processed locally in your browser. This data is not transmitted to us, not logged, and not stored on any server we control. When you close the tab, anything kept only in memory is gone; some tools may save preferences in your browser's local storage on your own device.
2. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, when you visit we and our providers may receive standard technical information such as your approximate location (country/region), browser and device type, referring page, and pages viewed. This is used in aggregate to understand usage and keep the site secure. Note that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; an IP is used only momentarily to derive coarse geolocation and is then discarded. Cookies and similar identifiers are only used in line with your consent choice (section 4).
3. Information you give us directly
If you contact us by email or through the contact form (handled by a third-party provider, Formspree), we receive the information you submit — typically your name, email address, and message. We use it solely to respond to you. We do not sell it or use it for marketing.
4. Cookies & your consent
We use Google Consent Mode. On your first visit, advertising and analytics storage are set to “denied” by default until you choose in the cookie banner. Accept all allows the analytics and advertising cookies below; Decline keeps them denied (we still receive limited, cookieless, aggregated signals so the site can function). You can change your choice anytime via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer, or block/delete cookies in your browser.
| Name / service | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _gid (Google Analytics) | Aggregate traffic & usage measurement | Analytics | Up to 2 years / 24 h |
| IDE, DSID (Google AdSense) | Ad delivery, measurement & personalisation | Advertising | Up to 13 months |
| yx_consent (localStorage) | Remembers your cookie-banner choice | Functional | Until you clear it |
| tool preferences (localStorage) | Saves some tool settings on your device | Functional | Until you clear it |
The analytics and advertising entries are only set after you choose “Accept all”. The functional entries are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device, not transmitted to us.
5. Google AdSense (advertising)
We may display ads served by Google AdSense. With your consent, Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, which may include personalised advertising based on your prior visits to this and other sites. Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) is described in Google's advertising policies and how Google uses data from partner sites.
⚙️ Manage or opt out of personalised ads
Opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ad Settings, and review third-party vendor options at aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu.
6. Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-F1R6CG1SW4) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site. With your consent it may set cookies and collect usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out across all sites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
7. Other third-party services
- Blogger / Google — the site is hosted on Google's Blogger platform; Google may process standard server and security data as host. Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's font service, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering the fonts.
- Formspree — processes contact-form submissions on our behalf so we can reply to you.
- Affiliate links — some outbound links are affiliate links; the destination site may set its own cookies under its own policy. See our Disclaimer.
Each third party processes data under its own privacy policy; we encourage you to review them.
8. How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve the website and its tools.
- To understand aggregate usage and measure performance.
- To display advertising that helps keep the tools free.
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To protect the site against abuse, fraud, and security threats.
9. Your privacy rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to data portability. Because our tools do not collect the data you enter, these rights mainly concern any message you send us or data held by the third parties above.
- Access / rectification / erasure — email email youkip and we'll handle data we hold.
- Advertising opt-out — Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info.
- California (CCPA) — you may request to know, delete, or opt out of any “sale” of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
10. Data security
The site is served over HTTPS, and we rely on reputable providers (Google, Formspree) for hosting and processing. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but because the tools keep your input on your own device, the most sensitive data never travels at all.
11. Data retention
We keep contact messages only as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to Google's settings and policies. Data processed in your browser is not retained by us at all.
12. Children's privacy
YouKip is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. International visitors
We operate from Morocco and serve a global audience. Our providers (such as Google) may process data on servers in other countries. By using the site, you understand your information may be processed outside your country of residence, subject to those providers' safeguards.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected by updating the “Last updated” date below. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
15. Contact
